His first record business agreement was in Nashville with an Independent Commit to paper label. He wrote â Same Elderly Highwayâ which was recorded by Sonny Wright. Sonny played the song on â Nashville Nowâ and was played in nearly every country in Europe. It was exact exciting times. He recorded his first song at Ray Stevens Studio in Nashville. There was one song from that session that did fairly well. The song was â Couldnâ t Love You Moreâ which he wrote and sang.
