Hymns, a Time-Honored Tradition
The singing of hymns has been a valued part of our worship services since early-recorded history. In Exodus we learn that Moses and the children of Israel "sang â unto the Lord" in gratitude for their deliverance from Egypt." And in Psalms we are directed to "make a joyful noise" to the Lord, to praise him with harp, timbrel, stringed instruments, organs, and cymbals. Christ and his disciples sang a hymn just before the events at Gethsemane and Paul and Silas sang in their prison cell. Today, this rich tradition of singing hymns continues in congregations around the world. Many of the most treasured moments of our lives are accompanied by hymns. Singing, particularly hymn singing brings comfort, peace and assurance to our lives in a way little else can.

Goo Goo Dolls Gutterflower Rock Music CD Review
Goo Goo Dolls, very talented Rock group have released their latest CD titled Gutterflower and Wow! Itâ s really a good one. I wish it werenâ t the case but, itâ s not everyday that I get a CD for review that I can just pop in and comfortably listen to from beginning to end. There is usually a song or two that I just canâ t force myself to get through. Not at all the case with Gutterflower. Every track is enjoyable and was pretty easy for me to listen to from start to finish. Gutterflower has a nicely varied, mix of 12 tracks that are very well written and brilliantly performed songs by these clearly superb musicians. Most of the songs display a lot of the kind emotion that makes for a really great listen.
Goo Goo Dolls Hold Me Up Rock Music CD Review
Not sure whatâ s happening with me on this one, but it seems like the more I listen to it, the better Hold Me Up gets. Hold Me Up stated simply is one of their best CDs to date. Goo Goo Dolls have been a heavy hitters in the Rock genre for quite a while now and Hold Me Up is an excellent illustration as to why. Hold Me Up has a nicely varied, mix of 14 tracks that are very well written and brilliantly performed songs by these clearly talented musicians. With many of the songs displaying a lot of the kind emotion that makes for a really great listen. Seemingly drawing from what I can only imagine are their own personal experiences. At different points touching on the most real emotions of love, heartbreak, pain, failed relationships and unattainable romance.
Patty Griffin Kiss In Time Rock Music CD Review
The exceptionally talented Rock artist Patty Griffin has released her CD entitled Kiss In Time. I am very confident and happy to announce that I believe Patty Griffin fans, and Rock fans alike will be pleased with this one. With the release of Kiss In Time Patty Griffinâ s artistic excellence is on full display as Griffin has once again delivered a brilliant collection of tracks that could very well be her best work to date. It's a rare day indeed that I get a CD from an artist that I can truthfully say does not have a bad track in the bunch. I'm more than happy to announce thatâ s exactly what I must say about this one. There simply isnâ t a bad one in the bunch.
Yellowcard Ocean Avenue Rock Music CD Review
Not sure whatâ s happening with me on this one, but it seems like the more I listen to it, the better Ocean Avenue gets. Ocean Avenue simply stated is one of their best CDs to date. I wish it werenâ t the case but, itâ s not everyday that I get a CD for review that I can just pop in and comfortably listen to from beginning to end. There is usually a song or two that I just canâ t force myself to get through. Not at all the case with Ocean Avenue. Every track is enjoyable and was pretty easy for me to listen to from start to finish. One of the refreshingly nice things about this CD is the way all of the participating artists seem to be really enjoying themselves.

Mariah Carey Rainbow Pop Music CD Review
I can describe the latest release from Pop sensation Mariah Carey for you with just one wordâ Outstanding! This one grabs your attention right out of the gate with Heartbreaker and doesn't let go until the very last note of the very last song Thank God I Found You, which by the way is another great track. Pop music fans will recognize some of the well known contributors on the project including Dean Parks and David Foster plus a few other notables as well. I give Rainbow my highest recommendation. It just plain belongs in any serious music collectors collection regardless of genre preference. While this entire CD is really very good some of my favorites are track 2 - Canâ t Take That Away, track 9 - Against All Odds (Take A Look At Me Now), and track 14 - Thank God I Found You My Bonus Pick, and the one that got Sore [.
