The Relationship Between Keys Chord Forms
In my last article, Guitar Chord Theory â " Hang-in There Its a Long Story we looked at scales and the order of steps and half-steps that are used to make a scale. If you havenâ t read it you probably should as it will make this article much easier to follow. Itâ s important to remember that different scales have a different number of sharps or flats in them. A key for our purpose is a bunch of related chords that sound good together. If you already play guitar you may have noticed that a song that starts with a C chords is very likely to have F & G chords with it and maybe an Am chord also. This tells us that the song is in the key of C, not so much because the song starts on C but because if the relationship of the chords, if the song started on the F chord it is still in the Key of C.

Taylor Guitars got its official start in 1974 with its founders, Bob Taylor and Kurt Listug. However, the story begins much earlier than that in the 60s when popular music spurred by the Beatles got a lot of people itching to play the guitar. The founders were young then, but they started their love of the guitar at around this time. Eventually, this itch led them to the purchase of a guitar shop with another friend, Steve Schemmer. Slim Man Nominated For International Vocalist Of The Year
Pop/Jazz vocalist Slim Man has been nominated for International Vocalist of the Year by the Canadian Smooth Jazz Awards committee. The CSJ Awards, now in its fourth year, will be held in Ontario, Canada, on Friday, March 7th, 2008. Slim Manâ s latest CD, Solsticeâ, earned him the nomination. Slim Manâ s previous CD, â jazzifiedâ, was awarded â Best Contemporary Jazz Albumâ in the 2001 Jazziz Readers Poll. This is Slim Manâ s first nomination for the Canadian Smooth Jazz Awards. Past winners include Diana Krall and Al Jarreau. â I did a German tour with Randy Crawford [another nominee], and she has an incredible voice. I always considered myself more of a songwriter than a singer.
