Justin Timberlake Maximum Justin Timberlake Rock Music CD Review

Maximum Justin Timberlake is the latest release from Rock Star Justin Timberlake, and I can only think of one word to describe this CDâ AWESOME! I wish it werenâ t the case but, itâ s not everyday that I get a CD from an artist that I can just pop in and comfortably listen to from beginning to end. There is usually a song or two that I just canâ t force myself to get through. Not at all the case with Maximum Justin Timberlake. Every track is enjoyable and was pretty easy for me to listen to from start to finish. One of the nicer things about a CD like this is with this level of talent even if Rock isnâ t your favorite genre you still canâ t help but appreciate the greatness of the artist.

Lonestar Mountains Country Music CD Review

Lonestar released their most recent album entitled Mountains. It's a rare day indeed that I get a CD from an artist that I can truthfully say does not have a bad track in the bunch. I'm more than happy to announce thatâ s exactly what I must say about this one. There simply isnâ t a bad one in the bunch. No fillers here at all, with each song standing tall on it's own. Mountains is a pleasantly varied, mix of 11 tracks that are very well written and brilliantly performed songs by these clearly gifted musicians. With many of the songs displaying a lot of the kind emotion that makes for a really great listen. Seemingly drawing from what I can only imagine are their own real life experiences.

Sara Evans No Place That Far Country Music CD Review

No Place That Far is the latest release from Country Superstar Sara Evans, and is another winner from this talented musician. I wish it werenâ t the case but, itâ s not everyday that I get a CD from an artist that I can just pop in and comfortably listen to from beginning to end. There is usually a song or two that I just canâ t force myself to get through. Not at all the case with No Place That Far. Every track is enjoyable and was pretty easy for me to listen to from start to finish. One of the refreshingly nice things about this CD is the way all of the participating artists seem to be really enjoying themselves. Combine that with the overall presentation and youâ ve got one of Sara Evansâ s most impressive releases ever.

Going Indie: Hip Hop and the Independent Labels

For a struggling musician who dreams of making it big, securing a record deal with a major label is definitely one of the golden opportunities that shouldn't be passed up. The same thing could just as well be said for hip hop artists. What with flashy cars, heavy jewelry, and ostentatious displays of wealth constantly dominating the hip hop image, a multi-million dollar contract with a giant music company is just a logical and financially necessary part of the package. But recent trends have shown that being affiliated with a major record label isn't always as rewarding, both career and money-wise, and going independent doesn't always mean being obscure and penniless.

Having their cake and eating it

Not to be confused with the obscure, short-lived, John Peel-endorsed all-female rock trio from the â 60s, Cake is a Californian all-male alternative group, which has been defining the term â geek rockâ for the last decade and a half. Whether itâ s the quirky and often sarcastic content of their songs, or the dry, rap-like monotone of lead vocalist and guitarist John McCrea, Cake possess many of the qualities the average slacker is looking for in an alternative to the, er, alternative. This sort of fanbase has lead to comparisons with bands such as The Dead Milkmen, They Might Be Giants and Camper Van Beethoven. Formed in 1992, Cake soon built up a healthy cult following on the Californian live circuit, frequently playing the intimate Blue Lamp venue in their hometown of Sacramento, a city that has produced a number of world famous bands including the Deftones, Blackalicious and Jimmy Smith, a jazz legend dubbed "King of the Hammond B-3 organ".

Music Download Industry Changing

The music download industry keeps evolving, as more players enter the game and alliances are formed within a blink of an eye. Weâ re all aware of AT&T partnering with giant Apple Inc. to promote the iPhone, which of course uses iTunes for its ringtone capabilities. As more mobile phones encompass multimedia functions, the music and telecommunications industries are realizing their unfolding opportunities to meld together. AT&T and Napster, one of the original music download services, are joining together and providing direct download capabilities, according to CNNMoney. In an effort to avoid mobile-to- PC connections to transfer music files, direct downloads are growing in popularity.

Smells like Seattle: the rise of grunge city

Following the release of their 1991 album 'Nevermind', Nirvana became one of the biggest bands in the world. The worldwide success of this album - only their second studio album recording - saw the band thrust into the spotlight as figureheads of the grunge music explosion that followed, with dozens of bands playing a similar hybrid sound of punk and metal. Not bad for three Generation X kids, who bought their clothes from thrift shops and were even described as being too lazy to use shampoo. The term â grungeâ was originally used as slang for â filthâ, by Mark Arm, front man of Green River, and later Mudhoney, when he was trying to describe how dirty the guitar sound employed by his band was.

Wine Is Part of The Italian Heritage

It certainly is no big secret that more wine is produced in Italy than any other country in the world. Truth is wine is as much a part of the Italian heritage as is it's art. With the way wine making thrives in Italy it's actually been elevated to the level of art form. The majority of Italy's wine production is done in region of Tuscany. Found right in the center of Italy. The famous fashion capital Milan is far to the north, near the borders of France and Switzerland, while Rome is a little to the south. Tuscany is a jewel set between the Tyrrhenian Sea on the west and the Apennines mountain range on the east. It consists of ten provinces, one of which is Pisa.
